Lisbon, March 6, 2024 –BI4ALL, a leading company in Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence services, announces its latest partnership with Geek Girls Portugal, a Portuguese community focused on engaging, inspiring and empowering women in technology. This partnership falls within the scope of BI4ALL’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programme, which integrates its new Sustainability Model, divided into People & Planet and which includes targets to increase support for local and global communities.
BI4ALL’s partnership with Geek Girls Portugal is based on two main events: A job shadowing event on Women’s Day, where the consultancy will welcome 4 female students/recent graduates in the IT field to its offices in Lisbon and Porto, where they will experience a day at work accompanied by a female staff member, in a context of mentoring and integration into the corporate world.
Still within the scope of this partnership, in October a Talks session will be organised at BI4ALL City, the consultancy’s headquarters, where topics of interest to both female professionals in organisations and IT professionals will be covered, such as success stories, soft skills, women in leadership positions, among others. Session speakers will include BI4ALL staff members, representatives from Geek Girls Portugal and other relevant guests.
“BI4ALL is focused on having a positive and noticeable impact on creating a healthy and happy work environment, where everyone has equal opportunities for growth, evolution and recognition, regardless of any condition and/or characteristics. The partnership with Geek Girls Portugal represents an opportunity for us to show all women that they can pursue an IT career, confidently and free from prejudice”, comments Andro Moreira, Partner at BI4ALL.
Vânia Gonçalves, founder of the Geek Girls Portugal community, points out that “the shadowing initiatives that we have been developing with various partner companies and now with BI4ALL, are particularly important in supporting professionals considering a career change, and have also been a practical complement to the Geek Girls Portugal mentoring programme. By following and observing the day-to-day life of another professional in the field, professionals gain a better understanding of the role they are observing and consider starting, while also having the opportunity to clarify doubts regarding a career change. These initiatives are also a way to introduce future candidates to companies and a unique opportunity to get to know a company and its work culture from the inside.”
BI4ALL’s Sustainability model also includes partnerships with other entities such as Make-A-Wish® Portugal, Dress for Success®, among others.
