Orlando Anunciação

AI Specialist

Orlando Anunciação is a PhD in Information Systems and Computer Engineering with more than 20 years of experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence. His thesis focused on developing Machine Learning, Statistical and Computational methods to find genetic interactions that may play a role in developing complex diseases such as Breast Cancer or Alzheimer's Disease. After a year of working as a post-doctoral researcher at the Ipatimup / I3S research institute, he moved to Belgium to work as a Senior Data Scientist (contractor) at Sony R&D Brussels Lab, where he stayed for around seven years and a half. After moving back to Portugal, he joined BI4ALL in October 2023 and has worked as an AI & Data Science Manager since then.

André Pedrinho

Data Scientist Consultant

André Pedrinho holds a degree in Micro and Nanotechnology Engineering and a master's in Big Data Analysis and Engineering, with over five years of experience in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. His master's thesis focused on data analysis in commerce and retail, emphasizing Clustering and Market Basket Analysis techniques. He joined BI4ALL in 2020, where he has been working on AI and Data Science projects. With a strong interest in Computer Vision, he also has expertise in MLOps strategies and is currently dedicated to ensuring the implementation of these practices in production environments.

Hugo Mendes

Data Scientist Consultant

Hugo Mendes holds a degree in Business Management from ISCTE and later completed a master's in Integrated Decision Support Systems in 2019 from the same institution. His thesis focused on proposing a framework for energy consumption forecasting, applying standard processes already known in the industry and using Machine Learning models to generate energy consumption predictions in buildings. He began his professional career as a financial auditor, later transitioning to the IT field as a SAP functional consultant. In 2019, he decided to focus on the area of Business Intelligence and Data Science, joining BI4ALL. Currently, he is a consultant in AI and Data Science, developing AI projects in different sectors and conducting research in the f ields of Machine Learning and Generative AI.

Marta Carreira

Data Scientist Consultant

Marta Carreira holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Lisbon University and a Master’s in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Health Research from Nova University Lisbon. Passionate about healthcare, her master’s thesis examined the impact of hospital distance on emergency patient outcomes. Since joining BI4ALL in July 2022, Marta has worked as a Data Scientist, focusing on the development of machine learning models, including predictive models, recommendation systems, and optimization algorithms. She actively contributes to the company’s knowledge-sharing culture by mentoring trainees, leading internal workshops, and writing articles on AI and its applications in healthcare. Marta is known for her curiosity, collaboration, and commitment to leveraging data to solve complex challenges and drive meaningful outcomes.
